MCM London Comic Con is one of the biggest events of year. At this year’s Comic Con we had a blast, with over 100,000 people in attendance over the 3 days…
It definitely felt as though it was the biggest turn out in recent memory. Saturday was absolutely full to the brim with attendees both inside and out; eager to see some of the very best of independent comic books and artists, have a go on some new and exciting games, taste food from around the world and marvel at cosplayers galore and enjoy just everything London’s biggest Comic Con had to offer.
Special guests this year included the original Power Rangers, Shinichiro Watanabe; creator of the critically acclaimed Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo anime series and Daniel Radcliff star of the new film Horns.
As usual we were blown away by all the imaginative and detailed cosplay on display. We saw a great Samus from the Metroid games, a full Zelda brigade, Leeloo from The Fifth Element and much more.
The booths were also top notch this year with film, TV, anime and gaming memorabilia and collectibles for sale, as well as original art, comic books, manga and classic games. At the Toyota booth, Maurice had the opportunity to have a one-to-one interview with Sonia Leong, the talented artist working with Toyota to create a new original manga to promote the new Aygo.
Super fighting game fan Ashley spent time over at the NIS America booth talking to other of the fighting game enthusiasts, as well as playing a few matches of the upcoming 2D anime brawler Under Night In-Birth; developed by the creators of the incredible Melty Blood fighting game series.
With more booths, guests and events than ever before; there was so much to see and do this year we couldn’t do it all. As the MCM gets bigger and bigger it’s never been a better time to be a fan of all things gaming, anime or comic book related. This year’s MCM was so much fun we can’t wait for it roll around again in May 2015!
