The Idolm@ster.KR to stream on Amazon Prime

The South Korean show The IDOLM@STER.KR will be streamed simultaneously as it airs in South Korea worldwide through the Amazon Prime video streaming service in several languages including English and Japanese in 2017. Although based on the titular video game first released in 2005 (the latest installment on the 28 July 2016) it will not feature characters from the game.

Amazon describe the show as follows:

“The IDOLM@STER.KR, set in the world of Korean entertainment production, stars Korean idols of course, as well as other Japanese and Thai hopefuls. Like the original game, the drama follows a group of young women as they embark on a career in the entertainment industry, and depicts their sweat and tears, their hopes and dreams.”


The 10 actresses who passed the auditions are (clockwise from top left in above image):

  • Kwon Ha Seo
  • Hanabeol
  • Chun Jane
  • Yukika Teramoto

The group of 10 actresses will release music under the group title Real Girls Project, and the group’s first single is “Dream” which has seen its official music video (below) streamed.
