Scotland Loves Anime festival announces October line-up

Taking place from October 14th – 23rd, Scotland Loves Anime returns for its seventh year with an impressive line-up of films which include Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, Your Name (pictured above) and the Girls und Panzer film. Taking place at the Glasgow Film Theatre in Glasgow and the Edinburgh Filmhouse in Edinburgh, the complete line up is as follows:

Glasgow: October 14th – 16th

Friday October 14

  • 11:00 p.m. – Belladonna of Sadness

Saturday October 15

  • 1:40 p.m. Momotaro, Sacred Sailors
  • 4:15 p.m. Pigtails – (Introduced by director Yoshimi Itazu with an in-depth Q&A after the screening)
  • 8:20 p.m. Kizumonogatari (Part 1 & 2)

Sunday October 16

  • 12:15 p.m The Anthem of the Heart
  • 3:00 p.m. Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV
  • 5:30 p.m. ‘Mystery Film’… According to the site, ‘It screened in Japan in 2016, it’s a premiere, it’s a film with a relationship to SLA.’

Edinburgh: October 17th – 23rd

Monday October 17

  • 8:30 p.m. The Place Promised in Our Early Days

Tuesday October 18

  • 8:30 p.m. The Garden of Words/Voices of a Distant Star

Wednesday October 19

  • 8:30 p.m. Belladonna of Sadness

Thursday October 20

  • 8.30 p.m. -Princess Arete
