The Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival hits Wales later this month

The Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival kicks off later this month in Cardiff before making its way to Aberystwyth in October. Screening “the best in Japanese animation and culture to a wide audience”, the festival will be showcasing a number of shows as well as feature events that are sure to keep you entertained.

Kicking off at the Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff, Wales, from the 29 September to 1st October the event will screen The Night Is Short Walk On GirlNapping Princess, Your name and  A Silent Voice amongst others as well as host a manga drawing work shop and Japanese Calligraphy workshop. A raffle  draw with a host of prizes on offer will also take place and include DVD sets from MVM Entertainment and a Japanese food hamper.

A month later will see the festival arrive at the Aberystwyth Arts Center in Aberystwyth, Wales, on the 28 October. Screenings of Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale, Your name and Napping Princess will feature at the event.

The Kotatsu Japanese Animation Festival was created by organizer Mrs Eiko Ishii Meredith and first launched in November 2010 at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff. For more information on the Festival and tickets, make your way to Festival’s site here.
