Gaming returns to London’s Science Museum with Power UP

London’s iconic Science Museum has thrown open its doors to gaming fans with the return of Power UP for a second year which kicked into gear on the 20th October, ending on the 31st October. This gaming event is hands-on and fully interactive “featuring the very best video games, computers and consoles from the past four decades”.


Filled with 180 gaming systems, the event will feature classics such as Pong and Pacman to Mario and Minecraft, promising something to suit everyone from families looking for activities during this school half-term period or gaming fans aching to get hands-on with the classics. Not only is this a great interactive exhibit, but visitors will be able to see and appreciate how far gaming culture and technology has advanced in four decades.

Adult-only 18+ sessions will run during the evenings of the 26th and 27th October and the exhibit will also feature as part of the Science Museum’s Lates on the 25th October, giving you and your friends the chance to battle it out on games such as Mario Kart, HALO and Super Smash Bros.

The Power UP sessions will run as follows:

  • Daily sessions: 11.00–12.30; 12.45–14.15; 14.30–16.00; 16.15–17.45
  • Half day tickets: 11.00–14.15; 14.30–17.45
  • Sessions at Lates on Wednesday 25 October: 19.30–20.30; 20.45–21.45
  • 18+ evening sessions: Thursday 26 and Friday 27 October, 19.00–22.00
